CANINE
CRYPTORCHIDISM (RIG) TEST
PROTOCOL
- Take 2ml of clotted or heparinised
blood (basal sample).
- Immediately inject 50 IU/kg
hCG i/v (Chorulon, Intervet, LH 1500; Paines and Byrne).
- Take a second 2ml of clotted
or heparinised blood 1 hour after hCG injection.
- If possible, separate the
serum or plasma before dispatch to the laboratory being careful to
label the tubes "basal sample" and "post hCG".
