NationWide Laboratories has been providing veterinary diagnostic services since 1983. Throughout our history we have been committed to quality of service through proficiency testing and rigorous quality assessment and assurance, which ensured positive development over the years.
Our company has gone through a series of name changes (including North Western Laboratories Ltd. and Dechra Laboratory Services) and acquisitions, getting stronger with each exciting development.
In 2012, Cambridge Specialist Laboratory Services, which was formed in 1998 by a small group of scientists and technicians with many years of experience in veterinary endocrinology and radioimmunoassays, joined the business.
The modern chapter of NationWide Laboratories history started in 2013, when we became part of National Veterinary Services Ltd (NVSL) along with National Veterinary Services - the largest UK veterinary wholesaler. On the 15th of August 2013, NVSL was acquired by Patterson Companies Inc. and became part of their Veterinary Division.
In 2015, the acquisition of Abbey Veterinary Services, founded in 1985, gave the business even greater depth in histology and cytology experience.
Today NationWide Laboratories forms an integral part of NVS Group, which is the UK’s leader for veterinary wholesale, consumables, software, and laboratory services. NVS Group aims to support veterinary practitioners with everything you need to run an efficient practice through trustworthy delivery and unrivalled customer service.
